Render cladding questions
- What is the main purpose of render cladding?
- To protect your exterior walls from the weather. In Wellington that means wind and rain.
- Can render give a decorative finish?
- Yes. As well as weatherproofing, any colour can be added to the render to make exterior walls stand out.
- Can we mix claddings on different levels?
- Yes, though it costs more on commercial buildings because of the number of levels. Waterproofing between levels is essential and the process has to be thorough.
